The mission of the Desert Fishes Council (DFC) is to preserve the biological integrity of desert aquatic ecosystems and their associated life forms, to hold symposia to report related research and management endeavors, and to effect rapid dissemination of information concerning activities of the Council and its members.
The Desert Fishes Council was determined by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (letter dated February 1, 1988) to be exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Taxpayer Identification Number 77-0161697).
Donations may be made via the online DFC Store, where you’ll also find DFC t-shirts, back issues of Proceedings, and other items, but most importantly you can also pay memberships dues (and renewals) as well as meeting registration fees and more.
